Mawmaw are an extremely social species, as they have been since the very day of their creation. They thrive off social interaction, often living in large groups or towns where social circles are easily found and joined. It is uncommon to see a mawmaw on their own, for even those who traverse the vast world travel in pairs at the very least. Being that they are so social, it is not uncommon for mawmaw to greet with snout and hip bumping when they get near each other. Physical contact with lesser known mawmaw is not considered unnatural, and it is not strange to see two mawmaw who have only recently met sitting close to one another or cuddling. Because of this, mawmaw are a polyamorous species, meaning that it is common to find mawmaw in relationships with two or more partners at one time. This does not mean that couples are unnatural, just that mawmaw are open to more than one lover!
Mawmaw also live in homes that resemble humanoid buildings and structures. It is believed that humans once roamed the earth, and mawmaw found their abandoned structures after The Great Fall and decided to adopt the practice for themselves. Because of this, it is common to see towns or villages scattered around the world, along with vast cities and even empires in which mawmaw thrive. They are an extremely intelligent and sentient species, despite their more primal beginnings.

CurrencyMawmaw pay and trade for goods with a currency called Pebbles! Pebbles are usually smooth, flat, circular stones and gems that have been crafted by those in charge of the monetary value. Pebbles have carvings on the surface along with special magical runes that allow mawmaw to tell which have higher values than others.

Gender Binary
Mawmaw have no gender binary! This means that they are not assigned genders when they hatch and pronouns are up to the mawmaw to decide. There are mawmaw who can produce sperm, eggs, or both, which is why the binary is essentially futile to even develop. This also means that there are no gendered clothing, colors, or expectations in their society. All mawmaw are fit to do the same jobs or present themselves as they please, and the thought of narrowing down such things to one's gender is an extremely unusual and silly concept to them.
